I recently made these fun invitations for a couples shower for client (and good friend). The evening was not going to be ‘themed’ but just good food, good drinks and good fun, and we wanted to start that PARTY feeling with the invite. These hand-cut streamers exude excitement & a good time to come — they are a bit reminiscent of confetti, but without all the mess.
I think it is important to set the tone with the invitation, and a killer invite makes people really want to attend the party. I tend to notice a higher attendance rate when the invitations are particularly fun or different, so keep that in mind for your next soiree.
From what I heard, these were a big hit!

Want help with invitations, menus, ideas and the like for an upcoming event, shoot me an email and we’ll see what we can do! :)

Love the simplicity of the text, and the streamers add such a fun pop of color. Guests must have been delighted to get these in the mail!

Can I ask where you get streamers like that? I would love to hang some for my next party!

The streamers in the top photo were actually from Rue Magazine (http://www.ruemag.com/issues/issue-three/) and appear to be just lots of rainbow-colored ribbons and rick-rack hung from a wire.
As for the streamers on the invites, I just cut multi-colored tissue paper into thin strips.
Hope that helps!

I recommend a big cup of coffee (or glass of vino) and good tunes for the project!
Have fun!!

Just to clarify, on the above comment when I said “the streamers in the top photo), I meant the top photo from the Oh Happy Day! post where this project was linked (http://jordanferney.blogspot.com/2011/02/favorite-party-ideas-this-week.html).
All the photos here are mine. Whoops

These are so cute and the perfect design for my sister’s bridesmaid’s luncheon. Her wedding theme is Colorful Bohemian. Can you tell me what font you used on the invites?

You know, I am not sure at this point. I have a lot of additional fonts on my computer that I have paid for and downloaded for free on sites like dafont.com. I would recommend checking there to see if there is something you like. Hope that helps!
